Art Workshop Instructors, Maggie Renner Hellmann & Lou Renner, will share with you their knowledge of value, color, form & perspective along with many other important foundations of composition. As you breathe in the fresh mountain air & enjoy french picnic lunches, they will share with you the history & lore of the French alps. Maggie & Lou have been leading tours here for over 10 years. This easy access, magical land will inspire you!

Maggie & Lou will lead you to some awesome views & easy access sketching & painting areas! We will stay in an excellent French alpine hotel close to Switzerland & Italy.

Come & share in the energy inherent in painting outdoors in beautiful environments. Days begin with Maggie giving a demo & instruction focusing on the different “elements of composition” and then she & Lou will assist artists individually. Afternoons are free for more art or some hiking.We will plan to spend an unforgettable sunset, overnight & sunrise in the most enchanting alpine hut that europe has to offer ( (with alpine wildflowers, lake & stream, wild ibex & marmots) Fantastic Sketching & Photography!

Work in Your Choice of Medium!

Workshops will focus on universal foundations important to all mediums. Composition, Value, Light, Color, Shapes, Positive & Negative, Volume, and Perspective.

Some Mediums to Consider:
Sketching, Colored Pencil, Pastel, Mixed Media, Oil, Watercolor, & Photography.

Days will begin with instruction, demos, examples and handouts. We will then sketch, create or paint - along with individual instruction as desired!
A delicious picnic lunch will be offered around 12:30.
The afternoons will be free for more painting or exploring as you wish. Sharing & a critique will be offered at the end of the day along with celebration for a day well spent
