ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

Work in Your Choice of Medium!

Workshops will focus on universal foundations important to all mediums. Composition, Value, Light, Color, Shapes, Positive & Negative, Volume, Edges, Contrast and Perspective.

Some Mediums to Consider:
Sketching, Colored Pencil, Pastel, Mixed Media, Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor & Photography.

Days will begin with instruction, demos, examples and handouts. We will then each find our own favorite spot & paint - along with individual instruction as desired! In France, a delicious picnic lunch will be offered around 12:30.

The afternoons will be free for more painting or exploring as you wish. Sharing & a critique will be offered at the end of the day along with celebration for a day well spent

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR/ARTIST

Maggie Renner Hellmann is an award winning artist who exhibits & is collected internationally. She is prolific & talented with many mediums. Maggie’s artwork has won national awards & appears on numerous Music CD covers & Art notecards selling world-wide.

Maggie has her bachelor’s degree in Art & also has completed Advanced Painting classes at the Lorenzo de’ Medici Art Institute in Florence, Italy. She is juried member of Oil Painters of America, California Art Club, and a Santa Cruz Open Studios artist.

Maggie's work is represented at Galleries in Carmel, Capitola, & Santa Cruz, CA & in Chamonix, FRANCE .
